Susan received her BFAD from Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto, Ontario. During that time, she also attended The Studio Arts College International in Florence Italy where she studied Drawing, Painting and Design. While Toronto was a culturally thriving urban place for exceptional growth, the experience of living immersed in Italian culture surrounded by history, not only advanced her work but also expanded her view of what’s possible.

After moving to California in 2000, Susan began new work energized by her inspiring environment. The passion for her process became obvious when she began working on corporate commissions, residential paintings as well as on projects with interior designers.

Susan’s style has an intensity of movement and spontaneity that is translated by authentic gestural lines keeping the audience present and involved in the moment while bringing each composition together. She shows the same passion for exploration while taking on different mediums and techniques as seen in her cast bronze and wood sculptures, as well as in her carved wood paintings.

With her work she has been able to have an impact not only with clients in the United States, but also in Canada and China. Susan continues to push forward with her modern contemporary vision, volleying between complex abstract paintings and the majestic simplicity of the sculptural form.
